Shlomo Lipman

Shlomo Is 25 years old and live in Bet Shemesh with his wife Batsheva and son Elchai. 

Shlomo served as a commander in the Golani brigade, and is a pitcher for the Israel national team. 

Shlomo has started a career as a Jewish music singer, releasing his debut single “Kan Itcha” this past May.

Programs for Students at IDC University

We organize a wide range of programming for students studying abroad at IDC University, including guest speakers, lunch-and-learns, weekend trips, and Shabbat dinners with local families. We work to incorporate the true Israel experience with each student’s study abroad experience, exposing students to Israeli culture and Jewish life in Israel while helping them foster lifelong friendships with one another.

Women’s Leadership Programming

This fellowship is a unique opportunity to learn about women’s issues in contemporary Judaism. Once per week, participants get together as a group, eat dinner (on us!), and discuss a different topic brought forth from the Torah and how it applies in the modern day.

The Poland Trip

Poland Mission Trip

Every spring semester we conduct a student trip to Poland for the overseas students studying at Hebrew University, Tel Aviv University and Ben Gurion University. Our student mission is led by one of the premier educators of Yad Vashem, Ms. Hazy Flint. This four-day trip of 36 students includes visiting concentration camps such as Treblinka, Majdanek & Auschwitz, and spending Shabbat is in Krakow. You will get to learn about the once-vibrant Jewish communities of Poland and how they were decimated by the Holocaust.

Come kick off the semester with a sushi social! Meet our staff, get the lowdown on our social events, and meet other students studying abroad in Tel Aviv, all while enjoying sushi and drinks on us.

Prague Trip

Prague Mission Trip

During the fall semester, we conduct a 3-day shabbaton in Prague for 26 overseas students studying at Hebrew University, Tel Aviv University and Ben Gurion University. This shabbaton will allow students to explore the Jewish historical sites such as the Maharal Synagogue and the Terezin (Theresienstadt) Concentration Camps, as well as the Prague Castle and the Charles Bridge.

Throughout the semester we arrange small group and one-on-one learning sessions on a variety of topics to give the students an opportunity to learn about Jewish concepts from Jewish texts.

Italy Trip

Italy Student Mission

We conduct a 3-day shabbaton in Italy for 36 overseas students studying at Hebrew University, Tel Aviv University and Ben Gurion University. This shabbaton will allow students to learn about the history of Jews in Italy, interact with the thriving Jewish community there, and take in the famous landmarks of Venice and Rome.
