Jared – Heb U 2013/Rutgers

Judaism can be a very difficult thing to connect to. With the help of Jeff Seidel and all his wonderful programming, however, I found it very enjoyable to get in touch with my faith during my time in Israel. The speakers I had the pleasure of hearing while eating wonderful free dinners were very memorable and had a profound impact on the way I see myself as a Jew and as a human being. The center showed me how joyous, relaxed, and fun Shabbat can and should be. If there’s one thing I took away from the Jeff Seidel Center, it was that if you’re not having fun, you’re not doing Judaism correctly. The only thing I ever felt obligated to do was to make a L’Cahim at the end of everything. There was never a dull moment and it had an immensely positive influence on my personal and spiritual growth.
